Overview

With millions of iRadar users already on the road, you’ll always know what threats lie ahead of you.

When you, or any other iRadar user, detect a radar or laser signal, the alert information is anonymously sent to Cobra’s cloud servers. Within seconds, the information is processed and displayed on your map as part of a Threat Area.

Community Radar/Laser alert sharing means that you have an entire network of users working to keep you and your wallet safe.

For years drivers have used radar detectors to detect when there is traffic enforcement officer ahead. Now, with Cobra iRadar, drivers can rely on a community of detectors to be alerted accurately and reliably of safety and enforcement threats on roads all around them.

Cobra iRadar combines industry leading radar/laser detection technology with the power of your smartphone. In addition to being the detector’s display and warning of upcoming red light and speed cameras, the connection with a smart phone gives iRadar users access to the iRadar Community.

The Community allows users to report and warn other users of live police, caution areas, and photo enforcement areas. In addition, when an iRadar detects a radar or laser alert it automatically shares this data with the rest of the iRadar Community. iRadar users can now rely on a real-time network of detectors to give them superior situational awareness while driving. Map Centric Design

The iRadar experience is all about the map.
The map is where you can view all types of threat
locations to see where other drivers have gotten
alerts in real-time. When paired with an iRadar detector
you’ll see upcoming Red Light Cameras, Speed
Cameras, Live Police Locations, Caution Areas, and
Radar/Laser detection areas.

If Map View is information overload for you, switch to
Dashboard View and we’ll just show you alerts as
you approach them.
Intuitive, easy-to-use
interface

Its interface with the smartphone makes iRadar
the most intuitive and easy-to-use radar detector
ever created. All settings are controlled through the
app and have accompanying explanations so that
you can fully understand the product and customize
it to your individual needs.

Speed/Red Light
Camera Locations

Along with locations that other iRadar users report,
iRadar includes its own 100% verified camera locations.
The app will alert as you are approaching red light
cameras, speed cameras, caution areas, or known
speed traps. Roads and camera locations are changing
all the time so we stay on top of it to make sure you
always have the latest information available.
Live Traffic

Access Traffic View from the Tools Menu to view a
snapshot of traffic in your area.

Look for green so that you can hit the open road!
Basic Navigation

Since we have a map page we might as well show you
how to get to your destination. Press and hold your
destination on the map to get a route or enter an address
by pressing Show Directions in the Tools Menu.
We’ll then draw a route line from your current location.

*Note: Currently only available on Android smartphones
Car Finder

With Car Finder you’ll never again have to wander
aimlessly in a parking lot searching for your car. As soon
as your smart phone disconnects from an iRadar unit
(meaning you’ve turned off or left your vehicle) iRadar
will automatically save your GPS location so that you can
find your way back on the map view. You can also
manually set your parking location by pressing and
holding your location on the map.
Music Control

Now you can play, pause, or advance music tracks
without leaving the app.
JVC Integration

See iRadar on the Big Screen!

We’ve partnered with JVC to support "JVC App Link
Mode" for the following compatible in-dash car audio
receivers: KW-AV51 / KW-AV61 / KW-AV61BT /
KW-AV71BT / KW-ADV65BT / KW-NSX600 / KW-NSX700

Hooking up to one of these receivers enables live
on-screen graphic display, control, and music/audio
playback through the vehicle's speakers.
